Most of them though are sourced directly from their country of origin. To obtain the best quality rough crystals at reasonable prices you have to go to the source. This means you have to travel constantly and have extensive knowledge of the market.

Gemstone sourcing is in constant flux, changing day by day. Old deposits get exhausted and new discoveries are flourishing day by day. It is a dynamic market where constant updating and networking is an essential part of the business. We have to be always attentive to new technologies for synthetic gemstone creation and new simulants which appear in the market every year. The know-how is as important as the know-who.

Our company only deals with ethically sourced natural gemstones, no synthetics and no stones coming from conflict areas. From mine to market is a long process, with gems usually changing hands a dozen times. Intermediaries often add no value to the product and sometimes take the largest cuts in profit, leaving very little for the local communities who found the stones, causing price inflation. We feel it is our duty to avoid this in the trade, dealing directly with local miners and cutting the gems ourselves. In this way, we can deliver ethically sourced gems with a traceable origin and offer competitive prices for top-quality pieces.

After the rough is sourced, we proceed to analyze the piece and decide what are the best cuts to be done to get the highest possible yield without compromising the gem design and light performance of the resulting gems.
